Funds arrived in the Swedish bank account
The community funds reached the dedicated Swedish bank account, unblocking talks with legal representative candidates.
@everyone, Pinging as this is finally the “large” milestone we’ve been waiting for.
Funds have now arrived
We have now received the funds in the Swedish bank account and are now ready to begin talks with the legal representative candidates to initiate that selection process.
Any talks, calls, messages, irl meeting etc with said legal representative candidates will be recorded for accountability purposes as usual and we’ll do our best to carefully determine which firm / lawyer would be the best fit for our case based on a multitude of factors such as response times, familiarity with the fields in relation to our case, direct experience with “similar” cases in the digital space and so on.
The bank account & accountability
We are currently looking into a multitude of possibilities in keeping accountability of the funds through systems / protocols that would allow anyone to see the movement of said funds. As these systems would require us disclosing the transactions that take place, we want to make sure that the method we go for does not risk harming the legal action and therefore will need approval from our legal representative before moving forward. We will post an update as soon as we receive an update on this from the legal representative(s).
Timeline
Now that we have the funds, the timeline is as follows:
- Append the remaining information based on newly surfaced evidence into the correspondence to be sent to the legal representative candidates (EST 1 day)
- Have a lawyer I know double check that the email contains everything necessary & that nothing is “missing” in the inquiry for legal representation (EST 2-3 days)
- Start sending out emails (ASAP)
